Neighborhood overview

Rancho is in Burbank, California. The East and West Rancho, inside the City's Rancho Master Plan Area, near the Los Angeles Equestrian Center.

The Rancho Master Plan, adopted in 1993, regulates single-family horsekeeping, commercial and other land in the area for use, density, height, setbacks, parking, landscaping and design. Development Review projects inside the plan area also go to the Rancho Review Board, an advisory body that recommends how a project can better follow the plan.

The Burbank Municipal Code creates the Rancho Master Plan Area for the East and West Rancho as defined by City Council Resolution No. 23,893. The City's zoning map shows which parcels are inside it.

Homes & property types

Mostly single-family homes, many on lots zoned for horsekeeping under the Rancho Master Plan. Whether a lot is zoned to keep horses is a parcel fact to confirm, not something to assume from the street.

What makes properties here different

Horsekeeping zoning, stables and corrals are part of what a Rancho buyer is paying for, so state what the zoning allows and what is on the lot. Comparable sales should come from other Rancho horse properties, not from Burbank homes in general.
